The Donor Management System (DMS) is a 510(k) cleared application that provides blood component collection centers with the controls necessary to continually assess and evaluate donor suitability, to determine the releaseability of units collected and to manage unit distribution. DMS supports interfaces with testing laboratories, fractionation plants and other HAEMONETICS - Software Solutions Division (Edmonton) developed software products, such as NDDR, LOGIC and CAPS. DMS functions to handle the collection of specialty blood products, such as high titer blood products for Anti-D, Tetanus and Rabies. The operational areas include:

  • Collection - Donor Scheduling, Registration, Pre-Screening, Donor Suitability, NDDR Checks, Donor Acceptance and Generating bleed labels
  • Inventory - Creation of Samples, Packing and Shipping Samples, Creating Cases, Packing and Shipping Units
  • Testing - Managing incoming Results from Testing Labs via Interfaces, Initiate Donor and Unit Deferrals, Locating unacceptable units
  • Donor Services - Visit History, Units Collected, Payment History, Deferral History, Donation Program History, Donor Retention, Call Lists, Photograph
  • Financials - Cash Drawers, Cash, Record Check and ATM Transactions, Production Summaries, Center Summary Reporting
  • Center Administration - Employee Training Tracking, Equipment Tracking, Supply Tracking
  • Quality Assurance - Certifications, Deferral Reports, Collection Exception Reports
